Malawi’s diplomat Reverend Lewis Mwanamvekha who died yesterday in South Africa will be laid to rest today at his home village of Namathiya, traditional Authority (T/A) Kadewere in Chiradzulu.

Upon death Mwanamvekha was a Deputy Commissioner to Kenya and Cleric of the Church of Central Africa Presbyterian (CCAP).

According to the family’s spokesperson, the remains of Mwanamvekha will arrive in the country today through Chileka Airport at 15 hours.

Upon arrival, the body will be taken to College of Medicine before proceeding to Namathiya village for vigils.

Mwanamvekha died on Thursday at Rosebank Hospital in South Africa at the age of  has left behind a wife and two children.
