Chinese Ambassador to Malawi Liu Hongyong has said no Malawian living in China has contracted the Corona virus.
Hongyong said this when he addressed the media in Lilongwe on Thursday.
Hongyong said added that this includes in Wuhan, the epicenter of the virus where 63 Malawians live, most of them students.
The diplomat also disclosed that his embassy was corroborating with the Malawi government through the Ministry of Health, airport and immigration authorities to make sure that all passengers coming into the country from China are screened and put on a 14-day self-quarantine.
