Police in Mchinji are keeping Catherine Lusitiko aged 20 for raping a 13-year-old boy.
Lusitiko raped the boy on 18 February after she had found him listening to music with a group of friends.
She then took him to a nearby bathroom where she ordered him to undress and had forceful sexual intercourse with him.
Then Lusitiko *threatened* the boy not to reveal to anyone or else he will face unspecified action.
Lusitiko who is married, took advantage of her husband’s absence since he had gone to attend a funeral.
mother to the victim discovered that the boy had difficulties in walking, this prompted her to find out.
The boy then revealed that the suspect had forced him to have carnal knowledge with him.
The victim was then sent to Kamwendo police unit before being referred to Mchinji District Hospital where after diagnosis, he was found with a sexually transmitted infection
