An Inmate who was found guilty for murder and was handed a life sentence has reportedly escaped from a prison in Alabama, USA prompting the authorities to initiate a manhunt.

According to Daily Mail, Daniel Miner, 43 was not found in his bed during a count of inmates and was reported missing at 9.30am the following morning, officials said.

Miner was last seen wearing state prison-issued white clothing. He has ‘white power’ tattooed on his arms and torso, an iron cross, and a dragon on his back, according to the prison escape report.

In July 1994, Miner was handed a life sentence with the possibility of parole for the 1993 shooting death of Edward Lee Williams during a robbery.

In 2003, he was sentenced on a charge of promoting prison contraband charge.
Miner’s custody classification is ‘minimum-out,’ which the department describes as ‘Appropriate for inmates that do not pose a significant risk to self or others and suitable to be assigned off-property work details without the direct supervision of correctional officers.

According to laws in Alabama state, Inmates are required to wear prison garb at all times and may be assigned to work for various government agencies for paid employment.

Miner is described as a white male who is 5-foot-6-inches tall and weighs 192lbs, with brown hair and blue eyes.
