Angry students at Wisdom Private Secondary School in Chiputula in Mzuzu city have assaulted their director for allegedly swindling 800, 000 kwacha meant for MANEB examination fees.
According to reports, the schools director Lawrence Chinula claimed that he had deposited the money into MANEB bank account only to be told that they were late.
Meanwhile, Chinula is in police custody.
One of the students at the school said there is no evidence that the money was sent to MANEB as their embattled director has been behaving suspiciously of late.
