The suspects allegedly involved barbaric assault of their pastors wife will be arraigned in court.
According to the Oyo State police command, three members of a church were arrested for allegedly gang-raping their pastor’s wife.
The suspects; Kehinde Olajide, 32, Ayoola Richard, 23, and Felix Babalola, 27, who took turns to rape the woman, were arrested in Akinyele Local Government Area of the state on Monday.
The gang, who are said to be members of the church, (name withheld), belonging to the victim’s husband, reportedly had carnal knowledge of her on their matrimonial bed.
One of the suspects, Richard, confessed that he and his friends usually lust after the pastor’s wife, identified simply as Mrs Feyisara, whenever they visit their house to help with house chores on weekends and weekdays.
He said they have always wished to have their way with her.
The suspect explained to the police, that on Monday, the pastor, Olajire Bayo, called him and asked him to get some dirty clothes from his house to the dry cleaner.
According to him, “i called my other friends, who usually go there with me to go together, meanwhile we’ve made our plans to sleep with her (pastor’s wife) whenever we find her at home alone.
“On getting there, she had just taken her bath and still on towel, we couldn’t resist it anymore we followed her to the room and closed her mouth, shut the doors and threatened to beat her if she said a word while we took turns in sleeping with her,” he explained.
He stated that they never thought the woman could expose them, because of the threats against her.
The suspects have been kept in a police cell at the state police headquarters, while the woman is receiving treatment at Akinyele community general hospital.
Bello Olayemi, the command’s spokesperson, confirmed the incident.
He said the suspects will be charged to court for rape and assault after investigation.
