Officials from Malawi and Mozambique have resolved the dispute that imaged along the border in Dedza after Malawi Defence Force Soldiers confiscated charcoal from business people on Mozambique side on Saturday.
District commissioner for Dedza, Mr. Manuel Bulukutu said that they have apologized to the Mozambique government and MDF has returned some bags of charcoal and they will pay money to the victims.
District commissioner for Angoni in Mozambique, Mr. Paul Sebastian said the disagreement has been resolved and has asked the Mozambicans along the border to avoid violence and to learn to follow procedures when disagreement arise.
Meanwhile, order at the boarder has been restored.
