Speaking at the function UTM president Saulos Claus Chilima, claimed that there are heinous plans by State House aimed at accessing phone conversations of some individuals.

Chilima alleged that he has intercepted a letter in which State House wrote Telecommunication companies to request VPN access.

Chilima then warned to expose the plans by leaking the letter to the media.

“If you refute this I will leak to the media,” he said, adding, VPN has nothing to do with State House.

Chilima insisted that spying on Malawians was evil.

But when contacted State House press secretary who is also President Peter Mutharika’s spokesperson, Mgeme Kalilani described the allegations as unfounded.
