Zambians on social media have picked on their neighboring country Malawi for not registering any case of the deadly coronavirus pandemic.

Writing on Zambian Scorpion, a Facebook group, one user identified as Randy Kayz posed a question wondering why Malawi has not registered any case of Coronavirus also known as Covid-19.

“Malawi is one of the 11 countries in Africa that are Covid-19 free, do you know why? Asked Kayz.

The seemingly innocent and harmless question attracted different answers from Zambians who answered what they think is the reason why Malawi up to date has no single case of the coronavirus pandemic.

Others included the current political situation the country is going through as the reason why Malawi is covid-19 free.

One user Shawa Ondya commented; “Lack of testing kits, the Tipp-Ex president is busy campaigning,”

As if that was not enough another user went as far as comparing Malawi to a province of Zambia.

“Is Malawi a country or ni Chipata extension?” asked Swern Rokani Mumba.

Sakala Kondwani Gulylord said “Malawi is an extended part of east province.”

Another user said Malawians are not normal hence they haven’t registered any cse of Covid-19.

“Do you see those people normal,”asked Thomas N Daka.

Others said it is because Malawian parliament legalized marijuana adding that Jamaica and Malawi are sailing in the same boat.

Up to date Malawi has not registered any single case of coronavirus and it is following all the necessary preventive measures against the pandemic.
