The Catholic Commission for Justice and Peace (CCJP) has accused law enforcers of negligence in dealing with mob justice in the country.
This follows continued killings and attacks on vulnerable people in Malawi, especially in Karonga, Chitipa and Rumphi districts.
CCJP sadly notes that between the month of November and December 2019 alone, 6 people were gruesomely murdered and until now no suspect has been brought to book.
As if that is not enough, 5 people have been killed in a space of one week in connection of blood sucking rumors that is causing havock in some districts.
CCJP Desk Officer for the Diocese of Karonga Louis Nkhata said government’s security agencies are not doing enough to curb the vice.
