As Malawians continue to react on the resignation of Timothy Mtambo as Chairperson of the Human Right Defenders Coalition (HRDC), United Democratic Front (UDF) spokesperson Ken Ndanga has also added his voice on the matter.

Mtambo resigned from the grouping this morning and has formed his own movement called Citizen for Transformation (CFT) People Power Movement. The movement speared change in the forthcoming fresh Presidential polls by urging Malawians to vote President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika of the ruling Democratic Progressive party (DPP) out of power.

writing on his official facebook page, Ndanga hailed Mtambo for joining front-line politics.

Below is what Ndanga wrote;

Welcome my brother, Timothy to the field of politics. It becomes good news to some of us, relatively young when we hear of friends taking up the challenge.

The terrain in this field has never been smooth though but am sure you will survived if you are not looking for immediate rewards.

Whether the timing is wrong or not is not for me to say.

Whether you are a proxy of some established political groupings or not is not something I can say on authority.

Whether you overrate yourself or not like I have read somewhere could just be an opinion.

Whether this is the end of you as other postulating is subjective and only posterity will give us the judgement.

Together we make our country better for all of us.

Of course you know Malawi has never known any war and that it is not at war.

Militant approach to politics is only exciting but does not normally win votes.

Am still a student in the field but I can share a few tips to a brother.
