United Transformation Movement (UTM) and its bedfellow Malawi Congress Party (MCP) are set to unveil Saulos Chilima’s ‘Command Centre’ in the capital Lilongwe where all rallies and Party activities will be beamed live.

The new Digital Communication Command Centre has been set as one way of engaging with the public ahead of the forthcoming Presidential election set for July 2, 2020.

This has been disclosed in a statement released and made available to Faceofmalawi reporter.

“As UTM together with all our Alliance partners, in view of the Corona Virus, have launched a Virtual Command Centre where all rallies shall be beamed National across all media platform,” reads in part the statement.

Chilima also confirmed of the development in a short statement posted on his official facebook page seen by this publication.

“Earlier in the day, I visited our new Digital Communication Command Centre in Lilongwe where all our rallies and Party activities will be beamed live. All communication will be shared online to avoid physical contact as a COVID-19 preventive measure,” wrote Chilima.

Malawi will hold fresh Presidential polls on July 2, 2020.
