The government of Malawi through Immigration Department at Mwanza Border on Saturday night received 10 bodies of Malawians who died in South Africa within the month of May.
Mwanza Immigration Border Post Public Relations Officer Pasqually Zulu said two of the deceased persons died after being stoned to death when they sneaked out of their houses to buy food during the lockdown period.

Zulu also said five of the deceased persons died after they were involved in two different road accidents.

Postmortem results by Malawian health officials at the border indicated that one of the dead people died of pneumonia while the other one had some health complications.
