At least 14 police officers have been transferred from state residents barely few day after President Peter Mutharika’s convoy was booed and stoned in Ndirande Township, Blantyre.

In a Memo seen by this publication, the transfers have affected officers from; Kamuzu Palace, Sanjika Palace and Mtunthama State Residents.

When asked on the development, National Police Spokesperson James Kadadzera said the transfers were normal.

“This normal, every police officer gets transferred, this is for administrative purposes,” Kadadzera said.

Kadadzera added that working at State House does not make one exceptional hence with time they get transferred.

On Thursday after Mutharika submitted his nomination papers at mount Soche Hotel in Blantyre he went to Ndirande where his convoy was stoned.
