United Democratic Front (UDF) President Atupele Muluzi has hailed President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika for picking him as runningmate in the fresh Presidential polls scheduled for July 2, 2020.
Muluzi said this at Livunzu in Chikwawa as he continued his whistle stop tour of the Lower Shire on Thursday.
“President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika is every accommodative politician, he roped me into his cabinet in 2014. Is that not being Democratic and considerate?,” asked Muluzi.
Muluzi is the running mate of the alliance in the forthcoming fresh presidential election.
The UDF leader says the alliance is a “formidable force” that will reclaim victory after Mutharika’s 2019 win was nullified by the Constitutional Court on February 3, citing irregularities in the conduct of the vote by MEC.
