Twitter user and feminist, Ozzy Etomi recently narrated how a pregnant teenage girl faked her kidnap just so she could go and give birth, then sell the baby without the knowledge of her mother.
According to her, the teenage girl was living in Cotonou with her uncle and his wife. The uncle’s wife called the girl’s mum, who works in Lagos, telling her that she suspects the girl might be pregnant.
However, the girl denied the accusation and her mother asked for her to come to Lagos. While in Lagos, the girl, managed to hide her pregnancy and was pretending to have her period by cutting herself.
As her delivery date drew close, she made arrangements with some thugs to kidnap when she was sent on an errand two weeks ago.
Her plans were foiled after the police got involved and investigation was immediately carried out. Investigation reports deduced that the girl was behind the whole saga and she had already made arrangements with people willing to buy the child.
Her plan was to return home after giving birth and the sale of her child was finalized.
SO it all began when we woke up about 2 weeks ago pre lock down lifting, to a lot of furor amongst the staff in our little mini compound (made up of about 4 terraces). I'm happy to report that all seems well between mother and child, and mother has accepted her pregnant daughter, and claims not to understand why her child won't come to her if shes pregnant. My guess is the girl was just terrified and desperate. Wild times, but thank God sha.
