Malawi has recorded 102 new Coronavirus cases bringing the total to 203 cases

Co-chairperson of the Covid-19 Taskforce, John Phuka, confirmed of the development during media held on Thursday.

According to Phuka, 92 of the cases are from returning bus travellers.

7 positive have been confirmed from samples that were collected from truck drivers and other travelers at Mwanza Boarder.

3 other positives have also been confirmed in Lilongwe.

Phuka has since said the task force has agreed to strengthen controls in as far as handling people coming from outside countries is concerned, with a view of preventing further spread of the pandemic.
