Malawi Law Society (MLS) has faulted President Peter Mutharika for his continued relentless attacks on the judiciary in most of his speeches.

In a statement signed by Burton Mhango MLS President and Honorary Secretary Martha Kaukonde expressed discontent with president’s manner and forums used to express his dissatisfaction with high court judges who nullified May 21, 2019 presidential elections.

Since the Constitutional Court declared that Mutharika was not duly elected in the 2019 presidential elections, his (Mutharika) party has been attacking the judiciary through demonstrations.

Each time Mutharika take to the podium, he accuses the judiciary of robbing his 2019 victory.

Yesterday in Thyolo where he conducted whistle stop tours, he also alleged that the court stole votes of people who voted for him by nullifying May 21, 2019 presidential elections.

According to Mutharika, the courts connived with the opposition in robbing his victory.
