The state Vice president, Dr Saulos Chilima says for a long time, government has been promising to turn Mangochi into a tourism city but the promise remains unfulfilled because the current administration has lost vision.
Chilima, who is also a runnigmate for Tonse Alliance made the remarks in Mangochi during Whistlestop Rallies.
He said Tonse Alliance envisions a country where people will be empowered to contribute to the overall economy.
The Tonse runningmate added that politicians have been making people lazy by shooting down ideas which can make Malawi develop.
Chilima further said all the promises UTM and Tonse Alliance leadership is making will be fulfilled becuase Malawi has potential.
He vowed to construct hospitals for people in the district to access health services and boarding secondary schools to help improve girls education.
He has since urged people in Mangochi to vote for Chakwera so that he can get majority votes in the forthcoming fresh presidential polls.
