President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika has reshuffled the party’s leadership in the National Assembly by appointing Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs Bright Msaka as Deputy Leader of the house replacing Martha Lunji.

Speaker of the National Assembly Catherine Gotani Hara announced this on Thursday when Parliament resumed for deliberations.

According to Hara, the ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has maintained Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Kondwani Nankhumwa as leader of the house.

The Speaker further said that Simon Vuwa Kaunda remains government Chief whip in the house and will be deputized by Mary Navicha, Minister of Gender and Children Affairs.

Meanwhile Parliament is deliberating on the State of the National Addressed by President Peter Mutharika.
