The Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) is holding a National Consultative Forum (NECOF) meeting at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe ahead of fresh presidential elections slated for next week Tuesday.
This is the last NECOF meeting to take place before the presidential elections.
Newly appointed MEC chairperson Justice Chifundo Kachale is chairing the meeting among others he is expected to update electoral stakeholders on the preparations for the presidential polls.
IT Director for MEC, Muhabi Chisi is also expected to make presentation on how the commission will managed the election results.
Malawi Congress Party (MCP) IT expert Daudi Suleman, who was one of the key witnesses for the second petitioner Lazarus Chakwera in the elections case, is also in attendance at the meeting.
Political party leaders are currently taking their seat.
