United Transformation Movement (UTM) Campaign Director Lucius Banda has urged Malawians to go and vote in the fresh Presidential polls currently underway.
Banda said this in a statement posted on his official facebook page.
In the statement Banda urged Malawians to put aside their political difference and go and vote for their preferred candidate.
“Today is the day we have been waiting on. 23 June 2020 is yet another Election Day in our great nation of Malawi.
“I, Lucius Chiccio Banda ask that you put all your differences aside and cast your vote. It is only your vote that will determine what kind of a future you will have. What kind of a future your children and children’s children will have,” wrote Banda.
He added: “A little over a year ago, we voted but our votes were taken for granted. Let us go out in large numbers to vote for the rightful leader who will serve Malawians first before himself.
“Today is the day your vote will speak for you. Go and vote and let us build the nation together.”
Voting in the fresh Presidential polls will end at 6pm.
