Commander in Chief for Citizens for Transformation Movement (CFT) Timothy Mtambo was addressing the press in Lilongwe, where first of all he hailed Malawians for taking part in this year’s fresh presidential election.
Mtambo however recommended a clean up at the Malawi Police Service, saying all those responsible for mess at the service should be taken out.
The grouping said there is need for the police service to wear a new trusted face.
Mtambo has also hailed president Lazarus Chakwera for committing to reduce his powers.
He has called on the new leadership to quickly get to work, saying Malawi has already wasted alot of time during the 25 years of democracy.
He has also called on government to investigate and prosecute those who have looted public funds over the last few years.
He says Government should not forgive those who have plundered government resources.
According to Mtambo, ACB will be overwhelmed, so government should set up an asset recovery taskforce that will be headed by a competent officer to recover public funds
