Government through the Ministry of information has said reviewing Covid-19 restrictions as asked by religious leaders is not a sign of weakness but shows that they listen.
Minister Gospel Kazako, said this yesterday during a press briefing organized by officials from the Ministry of Health.
Yesterday, government made a U-turn on size of public gatherings from 10 to 100 people.
According to Kazako the Tonse administration is different from the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) saying it is open to criticism hence it has reviewed the public health guidelines.
Kazako added that Tonse government is committed to listen to people and ensure that everyone is part and parcel of the fight against Covid-19.
After the Covid-19 measures were updated religious leaders found it hard in accepting the rules and put pressure on government to revisit them.
However, Kazako, has asked the religious leaders and other stakeholders to adhere to the preventive measures failure which the number of people for public gathering will be reduced again.
