Reports reaching this publication indicate that the annual Blantyre Arts Festival has been postponed due to the novel coronavirus.
Executive Director for the Festival Thom Chibambo confirmed of the postponement.
According to reports this year’s festival was supposed to commence from October 9 to 11.
Earlier this year, Lake of Stars which held a similar event also announced that the festival will not take place this year coronavirus pandemic being the reason.
Blantyre Arts Festival has over the years hosted top artists such as Mali’s Salif Keita, Jamaica’s Mutabaruka and Zimbabwe’s Oliver Mtukudzi.
