Former Director General for National Intelligence Service Kenam Kalirani has been granted bail this morning.

Principle Magistrate Viva Nyimba of the Lilongwe registry granted bail to Kalirani and former State House Chief ICT officer Chance Chingwalungwalu.

The two were arrested two weeks ago over theft charges, as it is said the two stole government computers which were found in their homes after a raid by police.

Last week, the two were denied bail.

Judge Nyimba, granted bail to the two on the condition that they pay K500, 000 each and a non cash surety of K500, 000 each.
