PowerText Chief Executive Officer Itayi Chidzero has said the outbreak of Corona Virus disease has largely affected their business sells as the number of customers has decreased.

Speaking in an interview, Chidzero said Covid-19 has affected customer’s visits because most people are working from home and they do not frequently visit their shops to buy items.

“They are lesser vehicles on the road so the demand also is less compared to the time they were no the pandemic,” he said.

He further said there is unavailability of products because of lockdown in the countries where they import their products like Kenya, India and South Africa.

“We are unable to access products from our suppliers from South Africa, India and Kenya due to lockdown,” he said.

The company sells car batteries, Inventors, Solar batteries and solar Controllers.

The company which is in Lonhro House along Churchill Road by Total Filling Station, Limbe was established to close the gap in energy sector.

Chidzero said the future plans of the company is to increase awareness and brands visibility  and promised their customers  that the  company will continue delivering  quality products and economical so that the customers should still trust them.

He urged all Malawians to fight the pandemic together to combat the disease and stay safe.
