Former Minister of Disaster Management Affairs Everton Chimulirenji has applied for an injunction restraining businessman Matias Bonongwe or his agents from visiting his residence.
The court order also restrains Bonongwe from making defamatory statements against Chimulirenji.
The High Court is expected to hear the application on August 25.
Chimulirenji denies instructing Bonongwe through Azit International Limited to supply maize to Agriculture Development and Marketing Corporation.
The former Cabinet minister—who partnered Peter Mutharika during the 2019 presidential election which was later nullified by the courts—has made the application through his lawyer Taulo and Associates restraining Bonongwe from impounding his property.
