Violet Chakwera, a daughter to State President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera on Thursday tied a knot with her new lover privately in Lilongwe.
The wedding was officiated at the District Commissioner’s office in the capital Lilongwe, according to the source who rushed to the scene.
Surprisingly the wedding was not officiated by any clergy considering the fact that Violet is a daughter to a Pastor.
When asked as to why Chakwera was not present at the wedding, State House Spokesperson Brian Banda said that the President was just following wishes of her daughter.
Banda said Violet wanted the wedding to be held in private hence the absence of Chakwera.
Violet Chakwera is marrying after she separated with her primary husband, who together have three kids.
