A 30 year old woman identified as Ellina William from Chimulambe village ,TA Kamenyagwaza has been arrested in Dedza for poisoning her two children aged 2 and 7.
Dedza police Spokesperson Edward Kabango confirmed of the development.
According to Kabango, the suspect went to Bembeke market where she bought unknown type of poison and two bottles of sweet beer (thobwa),she poisoned the drinks and gave her children.
Kabango added that the suspect who is a known drunkard and has a habit of leaving her children without food when going to drink hid herself in the house after giving thobwa to her children.
