Born 26 years ago in the village Headman Mbodi in the area of Traditional Authourity Nkhumba in Phalombe district, Brian Masi whose stage name is B Taps says his dream is to become like the veteran soldier Lucius Banda.
Speaking in an interview when he also disclosed that he admires another local artist, JJC, B.Taps said he was just aged 18 when he ventured into music when he was still singing in choir at Zambezi Evangelical Church.
“I started music career after being inspired by soldier Lucius Banda, JJC, Evison Matafale just to mention but a few,” he says.
Musician Wasi further said he will release his first album on October 15, 2020 titled “Dzinalanga” with ten songs which include the album title track, Dzinalanga, Ulingati Dzuwa, Imfa among others.
“I was just releasing singles but now l want to come up with an album to entertain my fans , says B-taps, adding that his album will be recorded at MD studio in Blantyre.
He is the last born in the family of five children, two boys and three girls.
B-taps’ favorite food in Nsima with Okra (Therere) and he likes listening to Reggae and Dance-hall music.
He asked companies and individuals to sponsor his music career so that he can become a cerebrated artist like his idols, JJC, Lucius Banda, Billy Kaunda and Anthony Makondetsa among others.
