Limbe police patrolling site where oil-like substance has been discovered

Police in Limbe are pledging to maintain patrols around the site where some oil-like substance has been discovered underground there.

Relocated street vendors who are presently erecting new stalls at the site behind Electricity Supply Corporation of Malawi (ESCOM) offices are the ones who first unearthed the supposed petroleum.

Yesterday, Geological Survey Department collected some samples which they submitted to the Malawi Bureau of Standards.

The public is waiting for official laboratory results to ascertain the substance.
