The High Court in Lilongwe has shifted the date for judgment in a case involving former Minister of Homeland Security and Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice-President for the Centre, Uladi Mussa.

The ruling was scheduled for today but the presiding Judge shifted to October 13 due to the fact that Mussa is currently attending parliamentary deliberations in Lilongwe.

Mussa’s lawyer Eric Salima has confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.

Mussa was arrested by the ACB in March 2017 on allegations that in 2013 when he was Minister of Home Affairs, he and other officials from the Immigration Department fraudulently issued citizenships and passports to Burundians and Rwandans, among other foreign nationals.

A court document showed that Mussa allegedly fraudulently granted citizenship documents to more than 50 foreigners in 2013.
