In South Africa, a truly reprehensible crime has taken place in Lenasia this morning, after a local bus driver was attacked by a group of suspects on board of his bus, Face Of Malawi has learnt.

The victim met a violent end, and police believe that members of the taxi industry are involved.

It’s understood that the horror scene unfolded around 6:00. As the driver set off from Lawley Station, there was an immediate disturbance. The suspects managed to bring the vehicle to a halt, before threatening the driver with a gun.

They ordered him to leave the bus, and the victim complied. However, there would be no room for cooperation. When trying to disembark, he was shot three times by the armed criminals.

The ordeal didn’t end their either. The bus itself was set on fire, with the driver still inside.

The blaze was so intense, passengers by the roadside were injured as a result of it.

Police are now investigating the cases of both murder and arson in Lenasia, as locals come to terms with this heinous killing on their doorstep.
