Truck drivers in Karonga have taken to the street to express their anger over observation that most of Malawi’s oils are hauled into the country in tankers belonging to Tanzanians.

The development has affected the Malawian truck drivers who have no business at the moment.

The truck drivers marched to the office of the District Commissioner where they presented a petition on the matter.

Spokesperson for National Oil Company of Malawi Telephorus Chigwenembe of the development in an interview with Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS).

Chigwenembe acknowledged the problem saying his office shall be making a formal response later.
