Malawi President has reshuffled her Cabinet. Among the new faces are Goodall Gondwe who is Minister of Economic Planning and Development. The appointment of Gondwe has come barely few weeks after the
then Minister Atupele Muluzi resigned from the position in what he suspected as political conspiracy by members of the ruling peoples party of president Banda.

The President has also appointed Anthony Kamanga as Attorney General, stripping the post from Justice Minister Ralph Kasambara who doubled as Attorney General.

Mining and Energy Minister Cassim Chilumpha has been dropped and has been replaced by John Bande but the Energy portfolio has been made a stand a lone ministry under Ibrahim Matola ,Daniel Liwimbi has been sacked at Tourism Minister and has been replaced by Rachek Zulu.

In the new cabinet, President Joyce Banda is Commander-In-Chief of the Malawi Defence Force and Malawi Police Service, Minister responsible for Statutory Corporations, Civil Service Administration, Nutrition, HIV and AIDS, National Registration Programme and the Green Belt Initiative.

Khumbo Kachali is Vice President. He is also responsible for National Relief and Disaster Management, National Public Events Office, Central Government Stores, Department of Printing Services and Electoral Commission.
