US President Barrack Obama will help in buying two planes for opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) for the latter’s campaign ahead of the 2014 elections.

Mutharika and other top DPP dignitaries have repeatedly claimed at several political rallies that their campaign, which “will undoubtedly get them back to power in the forthcoming elections”, will be on land, water and air.

In the past few months, there has been a lot of tumult as regards the planes-issue, with some suggesting that Mutharika would single-handedly purchase the jets. Interestingly still, some Facebook users posted photographs of a plane branded DPP; allegedly to be the one that will be used for the campaign.

But a top DPP official who refused to be named has exclusively told the media that it is true that DPP will really use aircrafts for its 2014 campaign adding that most of Mutharika’s buddies including Obama will help the celebrated law professor in purchasing the machines.
