A blame game has ensued between Malawi National Examinations Board (MANEB) and the Lilongwe District Education Manager’s office on unresolved complaints over allowance disparities among Lilongwe Rural East teachers invigilating this year’s MSCE examinations.
Lilongwe DEM, Bridget Nungu, has acknowledged receiving such concerns and vowed to engage MANEB for clarification.
However, MANEB spokesperson, Mayamiko Chiwaya, says they just provide the template for the DEMs to fill in; adding all the budget allocations are done by them.
Currently, form 4 students from all secondary schools in Malawi are siting for Malawi School Living Certificate exam.
