Inspector Thomas Chirwa who was assaulted by Senior Chief Mtwalo has withdrawn the assault case at the Mzuzu court saying the chief is like his father since he is also a son of Mzimba.

Chirwa told the court that the matter will be settled out of court.

However the police officer pleaded with the chief to change his bad mentality and start treating with respect all civil servants under his jurisdiction.

Principle resident magistrate, Paul Chiotcha, has since discharged the Inkosi.
