President Lazarus Chakwera will for the first time since he assumed power visit the Northern Region.

This is according to State House director of communication Sean Kampondeni.

The president is expected to travel to the North this Friday where he will carry out several engagements.

Chakwera came into power after he defeated the incumbent Peter Mutharika in historic poll rerun.

Malawi’s constitutional court annulled Mr Mutharika’s victory in the May 2019 election, citing vote tampering..
