Police in Dowa are keeping in custody a 32 year old man, Alex Phiri, after he was allegedly found in possession of counterfeit money.

Phiri was arrested in Mtandire township in Lilongwe following a police raid preceding arrest of Emmanuel Chipokosa on October 24 2020 for the same offence.

Chipokosa was also found in possession of counterfeit money in Malawi Kwachas which he allegedly claimed to have gotten from Phiri.
