The 26th of January 2013 was a great day for the people of Ntcheu Central, especially the youth when they finalised the k500,000, J.J Chikago Football and Netball trophy launched in September last year.
At around 12 noon, an overwhelming number of fans gathered at Bula full primary school ground to witness the grand finale of the tournament. Nsipe Netball Queens were up against the Sagonja Sisters which at the end of the match the Sagonja Sisters lost 18 -19 in favour of Nsipe Queens.
It was a different story from around 2 o’clock in the afternoon when Bulla and Chilima Football Clubs were already in the ground to battle it out .Both Bula and Chilima football teams played very well although Bula football team came out to be the winners through penalties after a 2-2 draw after the end of 90 minutes.
At the end of the match, Dr J.J Chikago handed over the trophies to both winning teams; Nsipe Netball Queens and Bula Football Team. In his speech, Dr Chikago promised to come up with another football and netball trophy in order to keep the youth of Ntcheu Central Constituency busy to avoid spending time on bad things that may destroy their future.
He also thanked the chiefs and the people who came from surrounding villages like Mangozo, Bula, Zidana and many more for the support they had shown. As a token of appreciation, the people of Ntcheu Central Constituency have pledged to support Dr J.J Chikago in everything he does in order to develop Ntcheu Constituency.
