The greed of Samson Msosa, the Eastern Province governor of the PP is demoralizing the existing supporters of the party and discouraging the steady entry of new members.

President Joyce Banda needs to be vigilant with people like Msosa because they are diverting resources they are given to use for the party into their pockets.

It has been discovered that whenever he is given money to finance party activities or just share with his fellow leaders, he either keeps the whole amount or gives out small amounts of money and keeps the large chunk.

At a recent meeting held in Machinga, parliamentarian from Mangochi Yusuf Matumula gave Msosa a sum of K100, 000 to share equally with eight of the party’s leaders who attended the meeting.

Msosa only gave them K500 each and kept the rest of the money.

The leaders in question complained bitterly but Msosa did not release more money.

Msosa uses the party vehicles to doing his personal business but always gives excuses when other party leaders are asking for the vehicle to do work that will strengthen the party.

Whenever he is given party’s uniforms (T shirts and clothes) Msosa gives them selectively to either his relatives or to people who comes from constituencies whose MPs give him money.

This is the reason many people attended the recent presidential function at Nkopola without uniforms.
