President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera has arrived in the Republic of South Africa where he will have bilateral talks with His Excellency Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa, President of the Republic of South Africa.

At the airport, the President was welcomed by Hon. Eisenhower Nduwa Mkaka, M.P., Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of the Republic of Malawi, Minister Thoko Didiza Minister of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development of the Government of the Republic of South Africa and Mrs. GloriaBamusi, Acting High Commissioner of the Republic of Malawi to the Republic of South Africa among other top officials.

The President’s visit is for two days and he is expected to return to Malawi tomorrow.

Before departing Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) in Lilongwe, Chakwera described the trip to South Africa as very essential.
