Saudi Arabia Foreign Affairs Minister is in Malawi for an official visit aimed at strengthening relations between the two countries.

Faisal bin Farhan Al Saudi told journalists it was the wish of Saudi Arabia “to strengthen its bilateral ties with Malawi for the mutual benefit of the people of the the two countries.”

Saudi Arabia has been supporting Malawi in a number of infrastructure developments, such as construction of teacher training colleges in Mchinji, Chikwakwa and Rumphi and the construction of the Thyolo – Thekerani Muona road.

The Minister is expected  to hold talks with Foreign Affairs officials and President Dr Lazarus Chakwera.

His visit to Malawi is the first ever for a Saudi Foreign Affairs Minister
