Government is still mum on an appeal from the parents of the siamese twins from Thyolo district who are seeking for urgent medical attention outside the country.

The development follows calls from some quarters of the society including the parents of the siamese twins who are calling for government and the private sector to assist the conjoined twins in seeking medical attention outside the country to separate them.

However commenting on the appeal Spokesperson for The Ministry of Health Henry Chimbali said that the matter is private and confidential depite the appeal for assistance from the parents.

Born in December last year at the Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital in Blantyre the siamese twins are currently at Thyolo District Hospital on a request from their parents despite the district having no sophisicated machines.
