Kenyan police in Lugari, Kakamega County are hunting a 48-year-old woman, who on Friday night slashed her 54-year-old husband to death.
The incident occurred at the couple’s home.
Elizabeth Khalumba picked a panga and slashed Fredrick Simiyu following a domestic dispute late Friday.
Simiyu’s family, led by his brother David Lwangale, rushed the victim to a private hospital in Lugari trading centre, but he was pronounced shortly after admission.
The suspect, Elizabeth, escaped fled her matrimonial home after committing the heinous act.
According to the deceased’s kinsmen, Simiyu and his wife had, of late, been embroiled in unending domestic dispute and attempts to reconcile the two often proved futile.
Simiyu’s body was taken to a Lugari hospital morgue.
