KENYA – A doctor, Samuel Kinanda who went missing on Wednesday, 25th November has been found.
Arms, legs and some flesh were found inside a stomach of a crocodile in Kilgoris, Narok County.
According to the reports from Kenya, the doctor is said to have been attacked by the crocodile on Wednesday afternoon, implying a desperate search by officers from the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) and the National Police Service (NPS).
The KWS officers said there were about six crocodiles in the Kilgoris river.
On Friday, November 27 at around 10 am a huge crocodile speculated to have eaten the doctor, emerged from the river to bask on the banks.
As soon as it began walking around, officers pointed at it and shot on the head.
Upon splitting the crocodile’s belly, the decomposed human body parts found in it.
The family of Dr Kinanda positively identified him after seeing that the swallowed arm had his wristband.
“We are yet to retrieve his head,” said the police.
Police took Dr Kinanda’s body parts to the Kilgoris Sub-County Hospital morgue awaiting DNA tests to comprehensively identify the deceased’s identity.
