Pastor Arrested For Defiling 13 Year-Old Girl In A Cemetery

TANZANIA – Police are holding a 72-year-old man, a pastor of the Pentecostal Mission Church in Mbinga District, on suspicion of raping a 13-year-old class six pupil in a cemetery.
According to Regional Police Commander Simon Marwa Maigwa said the Police has already arrested the elderly man identified as Boston Chimalilo on December 1, 2020, in the cemetery in an attempt to defile the child.
“Good Samaritans passing by the cemetery saw the pastor on his knees forcing the child to commit the act and after questioning the victim he confessed to having had an affair with the pastor since 2019,” said Commander Maigwa.
The pastor is yet to answer defilement case.
