Gertrude Ng’oma of 26 years old in Ndola, Zambia, has sued his Boyfriend Herbert Kalaliki, 28, for taking 8 years in love without marrying her.
Gertrude brought the matter before Kabuchi Local court and complained that she have a child with Herbert, But still she is living with her parents instead of joining her husband.
She told the court that the two had never stayed together despite dowry being paid.
Gertrude told Magistrate Evelyn Nalwize that her Boyfriend Herbert has never been serious for the marriage and that is why she brought him to court so that she must know the way forward and her future with him.
Getrude also told the court that Herbert is in love with another Woman who he exchanged texts with.
In his defence, Herbert told the Court that he wanted to marry Gertrude but he had no money to do so.
He also told the court that there was no communication between the two because Gertrude never gave him attention.
In her ruling, Magistrate Evelyn Nalwize told Gertrude that the Court cannot do anything because there was no Marriage between the two though dowry was paid and further advised Gertrude to sue for breaching Marriage contract against Herbert.
Magistrate Evelyn Nalwize said reconciliation is the people in marriage.
